Re elections: We shouldn’t have them whether they’re fraudulent or not. Elections require campaign money, and politicians are owned by their biggest donors. Instead of elections, we should randomly select citizens to serve. If they’re interested and can pass a test on U.S. history and the Constitution (and whatever else might be appropriate), they will be our legislators. They will be given a stipend and some kind of pension after their service ends. They will also receive assistance, if needed, to find employment or carry on their interrupted businesses after they have served. There will be no political parties, and the parliamentary rules of legislatures will be changed to reflect that. They will also be subject to recall by the voters if they don’t keep their promises, are corrupt, etc.
