CSPOA Press Intro
THE CONSTITUTIONAL SHERIFFS AND PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
The CSPOA was founded in 2011 by Sheriff Richard Mack. As a Sheriff in SE Arizona, he, along with every Sheriff in America, were ordered by the Clinton Administration to enforce the Brady Bill (a federal gun control act) which Mack believed to be unconstitutional. The federal government threatened to arrest all sheriffs who failed to obey the federal government’s orders. Mack and six other sheriffs refused to enforce the federal law and instead sued the Clinton administration. The case eventually made it all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States where the SCOTUS ruled in favor of the Sheriffs.
This case established that county Sheriffs have the authority and duty to enforce the constitution and to protect their citizens from the overreach of an out-of-control federal government.
The CSPOA was organized to teach Sheriffs, the police, all public officials, and citizens as well, the authority and responsibility that exists under our U.S. Constitution to which all public servants take an oath to protect and defend. Classes are made available throughout the nation whereby attendees learn of these rights and learn about how others have stood in the gap to protect the citizens in their charge.
Participants in these training classes earn continuing education credits and have an opportunity to come together with their constituents to improve the relationship between their departments and their communities.
Other efforts by the CSPOA focus on legislation nationwide that threatens the rights of Americans.
During the last few years, we have faced an onslaught of unconstitutional actions by Federal, State, and local governments. From lockdowns, to masking, to mandatory medical treatments, Sheriffs and police departments have had to decide whether to obey the constitution or the tyrannical dictates of politicians drunk on power.
With gun control, massive illegal immigration, pronoun enforcement and many other threats on the way, the CSPOA organization is needed now more than ever. We as Americans need to know and understand the importance of our unique and God given constitution more than any time in the history of our country.
Please join and support this wonderful organization for the sake of your freedom and that of your children and grandchildren.
