Arizona Border Ranchers are Dialed In

The dangers that lurk in our remote Arizona- Mexico borderlands are real and frightening.  And until now, citizens who live and work there have been exposed to violence coming from the other side, with no quick way to get help from the Sheriff's Office.   Drug cartels and human smugglers cross the unprotected border with impunity and American residents have been assaulted, kidnapped and even murdered.

The border is as porous as ever, and to help make living there safer, Sheriff Mark Daniels has provided two-way radios to 31 residents of the area,  using private funds.  The full story from the Associated Press is available at this link:

Sheriff Mack endorses Florida  Candidate for Sherifff

Chicago PD Shooting of Unarmed Fleeing Suspect   is unjustified.

Chicago police shot and killed a suspect who was fleeing on foot after he crashed a stolen car and tried to escape through backyards in a residential neighborhood.  The incident is an example of several negative aspects of the police culture, as audio and video released by the Police Department apparently show.  Based on verified facts and officers’ bodycam video, CSPOA believes that this shooting was unjustified.  This is probably a lack of training.  The Chicago Tribune article, which includes video, can be found here:
