(by CSPOA on Nov 4, 2014) Today, 4 November 2014, CSPOA sent a letter to TSA Administrator John Pistole demanding an explanation of its treatment of Ammon Bundy and his daughter on a trip from Phoenix to Utah for a family event. Bundy was involved in the standoff between the BLM and his family at his father’s ranch in Nevada back in April.

He was detained for an hour and subjected to a search of all his belongings and his person and was told that because he was designated a security risk, he would have to endure the same treatment every time he flies. The delay caused him and his daughter to miss their flight and the family event they were traveling to attend.

The letter, from CSPOA Executive Vice President Rick Dalton, demanded an explanation and the legal grounds which authorized Bundy’s Fourth Amendment rights to be violated.
