7 November 2017 – CSPOA Founder Sheriff Mack and Executive VP Rick Dalton attended an intelligence briefing in Mesa AZ conducted by Art Thompson, CEO of the John Birch Society. The topic was:

The Communist plan to nationalize and militarize America's local police.  The presentation demonstrated the organized plans behind the “spontaneous” demonstrations of Antifa, anarchist groups, and various Communist party groups, such as the Revolutionary Communist Party, CPUSA, the Worker's World, and SEIU.  The goal is to force police and other government leaders to militarize over-react and clamp down on the lawless hooligans, starting violent clashes which will end in a declaration of martial law and, as a consequence, civil war.  CSPOA is working with JBS to educate police executives on how to resist and thwart the plan.

 8 November 2017 – Michigan moves three bills to allow carrying guns schools and churches. According to Senate majority Leader Arlan Meekhof, “Some have said it's insensitive to bring up these issues now, but I feel quote the opposite.” The bills passed a Michigan Senate committee on straight party line votes. If the bills pass the legislature and are signed by the Governor, the gun-free zones of schools and churches, might a thing of the past, yet private property owners will still be able to prohibit carrying on their property.  They will need to post the prohibition at all entrances.  CSPOA supports the right of all private property owners to  control who and what comes onto their property.  But we also support the idea of law-abiding Americans, if they so choose, to be armed at all times and all places they go, unless forbidden by private property owners.
