Newly elected Panola County, Texas Sheriff R. C. Cutter Clinton was sworn in on Tuesday, November 23, at the Panola County, Texas courthouse. Clinton shares his support for the CSPOA and has been a part of several conventions and seminars.

Clinton is an experienced Texas Lawman with over ten years of experience in law enforcement. He graduated from Carthage High School and Panola College and received police training at the East Texas Police Academy.

Clinton has engaged in law enforcement, including crime-fighting, immigration, human trafficking, drugs, and more. He has studied criminal investigation and previously took an investigative position with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. He moved back to his home county and ran for Sheriff and won.

Clinton encourages the county residents to visit his office and engage in his plan to keep Panola County a great place to live. Clinton intends to promote “community policing” in the sheriff’s department and wants the department to form and maintain active relationships with Panola County residents, so people feel comfortable reporting issues to law enforcement.
