Let’s Set The Record Straight by Sheriff Mark Lamb –
I have a question for all of you; who is Sheriff Richard Mack? If you ask the leftist mainstream media you will get some horrible answers, they have called Sheriff Mack some unbelievable things. One national group has named him one of the top 40 domestic terrorists in America.
This attack against the man who has never committed an act of violence in his entire career as a Peace Officer and a Sheriff and who, was the first Sheriff in American history to sue the Federal Government and actually win a landmark case at the United States Supreme Court. Sometimes I wonder if people really get that. Allow me to repeat that. A small town Sheriff from SE Arizona actually stood up to the Goliath Clinton Adm., took them to court and beat them! He fought them in court, in a peaceful and effective manner. He has NEVER advocated violence of any kind. He was the first to do such an historical feat and he was alone, except for the Lord in heaven and a good wife, he was alone.
Then, about four weeks later, another Sheriff joined Mack’s fight, Sheriff Jay Printz from Montana. Mack was elated, he was no longer doing this battle by himself. Amazingly, only five other sheriffs joined this fight to preserve the independence of Sheriffs and to save the Second Amendment. These seven Sheriffs risked everything to save the Constitution and the right to Keep an Bear Arms.
Printz and Mack were the two Sheriffs that ended up at SCOTUS and rightfully so, they were the first two to file the case. The case was based on the Tenth Amendment (States Rights) the Sheriffs maintained that the Federal Government had no authority to tell them to do anything.
The Supreme Court agreed. Mack and Printz won!
Now Sheriff Mack is the President and Founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs & Peace Officers Association. He has tried to get all Sheriffs in America to read and study this landmark miraculous ruling. Most of them don’t. Some of them are even mad at him, please do not ask me why.
I absolutely do not understand that. Mack did what he thought was right. He stood for something he believed in. It cost him everything, career, friends, a retirement, and even some family. He changed history and he created the Constitutional Sheriff movement. My hat is off to him.
Sheriff Mack was right and what has he asked for? He has asked Sheriffs and all public officials to follow, obey and enforce the United States Constitution and he has asked the American people to join him in this Holy Cause. Mack has never given up and he has never waivered in the least. This is one leader in America who has fought the good fight against all enemies both foreign and domestic. I have worked with him on several national causes and we have appeared together at numerous rallies and events. He has stood for us all and now I am asking you to stand with him. He should not be doing this alone. Sheriffs are a vital part of the battle for freedom, and we must all have a relationship with our respective Sheriffs.
